It’s About Time

Just a heads up to everyone. It’s come to our attention that there is another band in Arizona using the name “Lydian” - it’s not this “Lydian.” Apparently actually researching a name before using it was too much trouble for them. We’re in the process of dealing with it, but they’re not cooperating. This could take a while. Until then, unless there are dates (release or live) posted here - it’s not Lydian.

Ok, I really am working on the new album. So far, 2 songs are written and another 2 are almost there. I must be listening to waaaayyyyy tooo much Buckcherry and Big Cock. The first 2 songs are called “Spank My Ass” and “Dirty”. As you can guess it’s going to be a very loving, tender, and sentimental album…

Finally - I’ve had some time to work on it. A site dedicated to the history of Lydian, the musician - not the country. Who knew back in 1984 when all this started that Lydian would become immortal in cyberspace. It’s actually kind a cool - but a lot of it is really confused. Like the listing that shows Dan Wexler and Glen Mura both playing guitar on the project at the same time. Glen played on the first 2 singels, Danny on the last album - about 7 years apart. So far I’ve put up a bunch of the credits of who played what when, and you’ll find mp3s for “With A Vengance”, the last album. There are also a few photos that span pretty much everything. More photos will be coming, as will mp3s of everything (except the Rockwoodz EP which I can’t stand), scans of magazine articles, and maybe even the video (shot by Michael John Sarna) for Love on The Run. You’ll also find in the photos sections a category called “Goodtimes” - the reason why the 80’s and the 90’s were such a blast. In there you’ll find (non Lydian) photos I took back then that span everything from bands like Surgical Steel, Moon (later Risque), Tomcats, and Structure, to events like the NAMM convention.
